DisPATCHes newsletter Q1 2024

By Sue Peffer

Q1 2024 news includes two NEW service offerings: access to Enamine compounds enhances our HTS services, and advanced CNS drug discovery adds to our neuroscience services. Also, our latest poster on GLP hERG screening, endo-lysosomal patch clamp technique, webinar, and Cambridge, Ion Channel Forum.

Flexible HTS screening services enhanced with access to Enamine compound libraries

Our flexible high-throughput screening services have been enhanced with access to Enamine compound libraries. We will work with you to design a customised hit-finding campaign that fits with your ion channel’s needs and your R&D budget.

Enamine compound libraries now available

CNS drug discovery: Understanding effects of test compounds on brain slice tissue

With many years’ experience of manual patch-clamp recordings from a variety of brain regions, we can now deliver a more holistic understanding of the effects of pharmacological compounds on the entire tissue to advance your project.

GLP hERG Screening – a vital step in the transition from preclinical research to Phase I

We  have had many interesting discussions in response to our poster ‘GLP hERG Assay Validation following ICH E14/ S7B 2022 Q&A Best Practice Guidelines‘.

Demonstration: Endo-lysosomal patch clamp technique

Endo-lysosomes express several functionally diverse ion channels, crucial for regulating organelle trafficking and intracellular signalling as well as maintaining the acidic luminal pH for optimal enzymatic activity. We demonstrate our endo-lysosomal extraction technique to enable the study of ion channels found on the lysosomal membrane.
